Personally finding information and doing research for me is moderately hard. There are topics that are discussed a lot, so finding information would be easy for them. But then there are those other topics and ideas that are harder to find information about. So when looking for research it depends on the topic just because there is a lot of information people already know and is on the computer. Also you don’t really know if the information on the websites are reliable so its hard to tell. The only reliable thing I would really think of getting information from is books. The internet to me can change so quickly in a day, people can just put in information and say its true. When I do research I make sure all my sources are correct and that they are credible. Overall I would probably just use books and libraries as my source of finding information. The internet is great but I wouldn’t use it unless I absolutely have to.
This computer research class helped me to somewhat of a point. We didn’t really do much on the research aspect of it. I think the main point of it was plagiarism. When my assignment was a zero because of plagiarism that was probably the first time I’ve had it. But this course did help me realize that plagiarism is taken very seriously, whether your just doing an essay or researching things. This course also helped me realize that there are websites that help you narrow down your search. So if I need to research a topic or find information there are certain websites I could go to.
