Going into pharmacy when I grow up, I plan on studying science, most likely biology as a major in college. By studying science and having it as my major not only can I get my pre requisites done, I can learn about what it is im going to be doing as a career. Science is very fascinating to me, especially when combined with math. I've had such a passion for it since high school. Everything about it just interests me and leaves me with questions, why is that, how is this? It leaves me wanting to know more and keep educating myself in the subject.
By being in the pre-collegiate health careers program I'm already a step ahead of most people not in it. It exposes me to the health careers field and how it operates. The fact that our summer program is held on a medical campus just makes it all the better. By taking these summer classes, the science classes especially its helping me not only prepare for my high school classes but my college classes and labs as well. I have to adapt to my teachers which is probably how college professors will act if not similar. This way I can prepare myself for when I study my major in college and work hard towards becoming a pharmacist. The pre collegiate program is giving me the skills and abilities I need to succeed in life and I'm happy to be in it.
